Cow Tips to start planning a transition MOOVE into a location that allows aging in place.
It is NEVER too early to start thinking about transitioning in life! Whether you are processing it 1 year or 5 years in advance the Transition Living Real Estate Team™ is here to help with valuable ideas and resources to make the MOOVE easy and fun!
Cow Tip #1
The perfect place to start thinking about a MOOVE is to look at the options that are available in the area so you get an idea of the FEEL of the property, the pricing and the steps it takes to get in. Many "Classic Client" living facilities have waiting lists to it is VERY IMPORTANT to get on the list even if it involves a reservation fee. Many times the deposit is credited to your initial fees so this gets you IN LINE to get to the top of the list and if you are not ready you just move down one name until you are ready.
Cow Tip #2
Start thinking about what you might need to do to facilitate a MOOVE. Do you need to purge some collections from many years of saving things? Do you need to do some repairs on the home to get top dollar when you sell to make the most of a move to a new environment? Are there things you would like to give to family and friends so they can enjoy them with you as you downsize. The Transition Living Real Estate Team™ has resources that can help you "Manage The Mess" and have fun doing it!
Cow Tip #3
Attend events that will educate you about the options available in new living environments. Take a "test drive." Most facilities have rooms you can come and stay in, eat in the dining area and enjoy the activities for a couple days. If you love a certain card game, see what days the card game is played and come to join the fun. If you like Bible study, ask to come and join in the group events BEFORE you make the decision to Moove.
To those of you reading.... you may be part of the "sandwich generation." Meaning, you have kids or grand kids you are helping and parents who are needing your help... you are in the middle and the Transition Living Real Estate Team™ is here to help!
Check out the monthly events and join us to "EDUCATE" you and the family about things you are going to encounter as life transitions to different levels... Pokemon has it right with the higher levels.. the more you practice the better you will be at overcoming the "obstacles or events" that just happen in life. You will be PREPARED and have your plans in place in a calm manner because you have done your planning in advance.

Carra, great post and love your sense of humor. I was very MOOOOOVED by it! When I saw your cow pie reference it was udder love at first site! You would love our Clover Milk Company as they have an on-going advertising campaign featuring "puns" based on Clo the Cow. Some are very clever, "Edgar Alan Clo" for instance or "Behind Glo's Doors"! It is on a large billboard along Hwy 101 here in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, California. You'd love them. Google "Clo the Cow" and you'll see what I mean.
