Cosmic Cow Pie: Connecting the Dots

Free Keyword Cleaning Tool

dustingIt seems that there is never an end to cleaning.  Yes, even keywords need to be taken off the shelf and given a good dusting once in a while to keep your site relevant and ranking properly.  SEO Book has a free keyword cleaning tool that allows you to do just that.

All you have to do is grab the keywords you wish to use on your real estate website (which you can do from a number of free sources on the internet) and the cleaning tool will strip away the bad keywords and phrases that won't help your site, take out any punctuation and strip your list of any bad phrases or numbers (eliminating search counts to be included in keywords).  Once you've got a "clean" list of keywords, log in to Google AdWords go to the Google Traffic Estimator page.  By submitting the form (without actually bidding), you can find out which of your keywords and phrases are considered the most valuable (and, therefore, best to use) on your website.

It's a good idea to go through your keyword list every so often to give it a good "dusting" for the freshest Google juice.  The free keyword cleaning tool by SEO Book is the perfect tool to use!

I had a hard time downloading SEO Book for some reason.  Do you have any pointers?  Even when I was in my SEO class my instructor couldn't figure out why it was so difficult to download.

Thanks for this post. It is great every now and then to re-evaluate the strength of your keywords and use stronger ones

Heather you are absolutely correct with this post.  Just getting your website up and running is just the beginning of the process, yes you need to regularly check key word ranking and site relevence.  Appreciate the reminder.
