Craigslist is one of the top online classified ad sites on the internet today. With a worldwide audience of millions, it isn't just a place to sell your old Atari system or get rid of the junk you've collected over the years. Real Estate Professionals are missing an amazing opportunity to promote their listings if they aren't doing so on Craigslist. If you're using Craigslist for your listings, market reports and open house announcements, you're going to want to know how to track your stats. The Craigslist Ad Tracker is definitely the tracking tool you need.
With your free Craigslist Ad Tracker tool, you can:
See how many visitors click on your ad in real time (as soon as it happens).
- Find out where they are clicking from around the world.
- Separate stats into hourly, daily, weekly and monthly visitors, helping you determine when your ads receive the highest clicks.
- Track which ads are getting the most clicks back to your website to show you which ads are working best with your audience.
- Image hosting and tracking.
- Create a lead and/or contact form for your ads.
- Free hit counters.
- Use a hidden tracker in your ads, if you would like.
- Exclude any internal traffic that may skew your stats.
All you have to do after you create your account at the Craigslist Ad Tracker website is to create a tracking code by entering a short description of the ad you wish to track, insert the tracking code into your Craigslist ad and wait for the results. You can set up your account to receive emails with new stats as often as you like.
If you are using Craigslist for your real estate business and want to see which ads are working, which ones aren't, what keywords your buyers and sellers are using to find you and even which ad titles are working the best, track your stats with the Craigslist Ad Tracker tool. Simply advertising isn't enough. You need to know what your real estate clients are looking for so that you can mold your advertising campaign into a much more successful one. Let me know if you need any help!
Pamela, I use this tool for virtually all of my posts. Adam with CraigslistAdTracker has been excellent in listening to and implementing suggestions and ideas. I've invited him to become an ActiveRain member and hopefully he'll be joining our community soon.
I had great luck with Craig's List until word got out and now you won't stay page one for fifteen minutes. Like everything else in our world, if it works keep it quiet and enjoy the few minutes before it gets overwhelmed.
Pamela,
Excellent information. I have bookmarked this for later. I'll put it to work as son as I can.
Brian
Hi Rick - I love to learn about new opportunities to improve my marketing efforts. This was a good one to share since it's not something that a lot of people know about. It provides some really great information.
Hi Randy - Here's a trick you might want to try. Craigslist doesn't allow you to repost within a 48 hour period. So, either create more than one post (5 to 7 per week) and rotate those posts or go into your Craigslist account and make a small tweek in your posting and repost it.
Hi Brian - Thanks for stopping by. I do a lot of marketing on Craigslist for my clients. They want to know how my marketing efforts are paying off and which ads are working the best. This tool helps.
Pamela,
This is very helpful information to have... thanks for sharing it with us. I have used Craig's list to advertise my business but I am sorry to say not on a regular basis. I will bookmark for reference.
Wow! I never realized how useful Craigslist could be for a business. Thanks for the information.
Hi Linda - A good tool for keeping track of what works and doesn't work in your Craigslist marketing efforts.
Hi Lynnel - When you use Craigslist for business, you can expect to get a lot of spam. But, if you are willing to dig through the junk, you could just find a pearl.
Pamela, I just discovered CraigsList Ad Tracker the other day and bookmarked their site (it's been a crazy week for me!) I am also going to bookmark your post for future reference. :)
Pamela, this is great information. I use Craigslist all the time to market my listings but never knew how to track that effectiveness.
Hi Leilani - Glad you found it. It's a great help for tracking your marketing results.
Hi June - Happy to help. I use Craigslist for my clients - some of them hate because of the spam. Others understand that you sometimes have to sift through the coal to find the diamond. What's your take?
Thank you for the information!
Pamela~ THX for this useful INFO!
We have been using it for quite a few months - good useful info realized.
Mel

Thank you, Terkel. Hope it helps you with your Craigslist marketing efforts. Enjoy your day!
Can't wait to try this - definitely bookmarked it to refer to! Thanks
Pamela, I love craigslist. I've been buying and selling there for years! Thanks for great info - love the fact that the tracking is free :)
Be careful that the hit counters do not violate CL terms of service. I inserted one and got repeated flagged posts.
Thanks for the post today. I enjoyed the read.

Thanks so much for sharing, I am going to implement tomorrow!
Thanks for sharing this. I was searching for some Craigs list info and came across this great post. I am definitely going to reblog this to help others too. Much appreciated.
Pamela, very nicely compiled information. In fact, I have been using CraigsListAdTracker for a while - and am amazed at the statistics! (I used to use another tool - StatCounter - but CraigsList cracked on it and does not allow this code into the postings any more.)
Your post is featured but I think, it surely deserves to be re-blogged.
Pamela. I have not been using Craigslist as much these past few months, but if I start to use it again, I will give this a try.
Hi Pamela - This information will help me derive more benefits out of using Craigslist.
Thanks Pamela! I just added this to my current posts! SO COOL
Hi Pamela, Craig List is one that I have not gotten involved with, but after your post, it is on my TO DO LIST. thanks for sharing.

I just used and posted a new ad. . .can't wait to see the results!
Thanks Pamella, I didn't know about this. Will definitely use it.
Hi Julie - First of all, are we related? Our last name is the same. Since it's an unusual name and since it's spelled the same as mine, there's a good chance we are. At any rate, I hope you find this tool helpful.
Hi Wallace - Thank you for the heads up. I know Craigslist flags some accounts so I appreciate the info and reminder about Craigslist terms of service. Good point!
Thank you, Dick and Dixie, for the reblog. So happy you found what you were looking for.
Hi Praful - Sounds like you could have written a very good post about the ad tracker tool. Thanks for the reblog.
