How Google Wave can help your real estate business.

Last August, I wrote about how Google Wave was a new way to communicate online.  Up until recently, Google Wave was trying to figure out how exactly it could work for people and was only available by invitation.  Now that it has been made available to the public, how can Google Wave help your business?

While it's not going to balance your checkbook or pay your bills for you, Google Wave does offer some interesting possibilities.  It combines email, instant messaging, online document sharing, meeting memos and so much more in real-time online.  So, instead of sending emails back and forth to a client, you can ride the Google Wave and converse back and forth online, even sharing documents or videos that your client may need to look over.  This allows them to ask you questions while you are online with them, even if you are in different cities.

In addition to the regular goodies that Google Wave provides standard, you can download some extensions to make your Google Wave experience even better.  For instance, you can hold phone and web conferencing with the TimeBridge Conferencing extension.  Requesty keeps private discussions private by requiring people to request permission before entering a Google Wave session.  Share charts through Google Wave with the Chart Gadget extension.  And there are many more extensions to choose from to personalize your time on Google Wave.

Are you still asking how Google Wave can help your business?  Check out the Google Wave overview for more information or click on the video below.  It can be a real time-saver and a great way to communicate with your clients.  If you need help, please contact your virtual assistant.

Li ~  I thought Pam Cendejas explained Google Wave it very well.  Now I have to get my boots on for yet another technology learning climb.  I have just gotten google docs down.. I love skype and it sounds like google wave incorporates EVERYTHING.. into one place!

Carra, this sounds pretty awesome! There are soooo many different social media tools available I am a bit overwhelmed. Who knows, this may replace FB or Twitter. You never know!

Carra ~ it seems I am forever chasing the technology craze.  When I finally get my teeth into something, it's already old.  but at least I keep trying~

Evelyn ~  you bring up an interesting concept..

Joshua ~ You are welcome

Rebecca ~  Great to hear you are working with Pamela.. I do not think a practicing Real Estate agent can do all the social media and list and sell at the same time.. delegation of the back sides of websites and set ups take so much time so getting help makes use of good time management skills.

Dawn ~ it does change daily.. someone out there is working on something .... she always has GREAT information to share.

Debra ~ Pamela really does share things we need to know.. so good idea to subscribe to her posts.

This seems like a great way to keep files in an online directory, so your clients can always refer to it in case they have any questions over a contract. The online communication tool sounds cool too.
