Valentines Day 5 Days And Counting!

Valentines Day 5 Days and Counting!

The time just slips away and you could be wondering what can I do that is different?

My friend Tim Wilson was looking for posts with Valentine ideas and I haven't seen many so here you go Tim!

You can create you own slide show with pictures of you and your sweetheart or whoever you want!

It's easy and Free!  Just go to www.Slide.com  register and away you go!

Now buy a bundle of flowers from Safeway or the local grocery store and save money.  Go to TJ Max, Ross, Pier 1 or some discount store and get a beautiful vase!  Put those bright colored flowers or even the rose specials in the beautiful vase.. and you are set!

Wait there is more.. with the money you saved on the flowers... you have can purchase a wonderful fragrance.

My favorite perfumes:

Issey Miyake 3.3 ounces about $100

Chance by Chanel 3.4 ounces about $98

Private Collections by Estee Lauder 2.5 ounces about $56

Of course you dressed up in a bow is always a hit!

Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!  Share the LOVE!

Carra-a cute idea.  Always looking for something a little different to do and this would work especially well for a little gift for my granddaughter.

Carra,

Good point about the flowers. A dozen roses are $100 on the 14th, but $20 any other day.

Carra, an early trip to Costco on Saturday gets a bouquet for $15.00, and of course the card. Get's me a stay out of trouble card good for at least 24 hours

Hi Carra - Happy Valentine's Day!  I love the fact that mostly men are responding to your post about the upcoming holiday.  BTW - I've used Slide.com and love it!  I believe I did a post on it many months back.  I'm looking forward to Blog Talk Radio at 10:00am on Thursday.  Should be lots of fun!

Cindy~ Be sure to let us know how your granddaughter likes it!  That is a great idea.. I have 5 grandkids and I bet they would love that too!  Thanks Cindy.  How is your weather back there... sounded like you were snowed in on Super Bowl Sunday!

Brian ~ Yes, the florists do take advantage of the day with markup.. so like Ed said, Costco or the grocery store has the same roses for a lot less....

Mr. Ed ~  Your wife is one special woman so 24 hours of "stay out of trouble card"..  is sooo worth it once a year! Do you have a bow outfit?

Pam ~ Happy to share... slide.com is fun! I am excited to talk with your team on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. MST on blogtalkradio. I have been tweeting and posting!

Carra,

I had the foresight to pick up a card before I left, so I don't give the missus a Spanish card.

Terry ~ you are one smart guy! Have you been to the "Office" in Cabo yet... the bar/restaurant on the beach where they do shots while you eat and make balloon hats?  Could be a romantic/rowdy spin for Valentines day!  Check it out.  The balloon hats get very spicey!

Carra:

Great ideas, we have a whole collection of heart shaped stones, that we have discovered on our daily walks on the beach, and we keep finding them, proving what is true for us that Valentine's Day should be everyday!

Carra:  Thanks for the heads-up on the Slides.com ... much appreciated for this occasion and the future!

My wife just doesn't fall into the pattern you describe ... (of course!)  Cut Flowers are a "no-no" for her (preferring something she can plant) and sweets ... the same.  Perfume?  She gets migraines from most ... so that's out.  What have we decided to do to make the day special?  Even when the kids were little, we got Chinese take-out, something we just never did often.  It was fun for the kids and us .... and a real treat.  Simple ... but it made her happy.  I was well-fed and happy too!  Works well for both of us still ... even now that the kids are gone.  Our little tradition that we look forward to ...

That's a great slide show, Carra.  I can't remember if I tried it, but I think I use Picassa.  I will definitely try slide next time.

Ron and Alexandra ~ Would love to see your heart collection.. what a fun idea! Makes sense to think about Love everyday!

Gary ~ Doing great thanks for asking! Had a great CRS webinar yesterday on Linkedin. Anyone can purchase the replay for up to 1 year.. lots of good info.

Gene ~ What a special tradition you started with your wife.  Thanks for sharing and you know traditions are something that make life special.. that might be a wonderful blog post!  Get people starting to think about making something just for them!

Jessica ~ Glad you liked it and knowing you.. we will be seeing some fun pictures!  Can't wait.

Dawn ~ Happy to share something so fun and FREE!  Look forward to seeing some shows from you too!

Michelle ~ there are about 20 different formats and ways you can present the pictures.. fun place to mess around with!

Jane ~  I use Picassa too and basically they are similar.. this one just had some more fun and easy layouts... I look forward to seeing your shows!
